SUMMARY:No Longer Silent Series Presents- The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
DESCRIPTION:The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari“No Longer Silent Film Series”- Historical films set to Live Music – Presented by Jeff Angeley with Leon Stanley\n“No Longer Silent” presents historical films from the silent movie era set to live performances of contemporary composed sound tracks. Don’t miss this special free event at the MAC\, featuring composers/performers Jeff Angeley and Leon Stanley. Their original score will be performed as the backdrop to the one-of-a-kind psychological mystery “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”.\nThe 1920 silent film itself features unique\, handmade visual art sets and early elements of horror. Angeley and Stanley portray the emotion of its many twists and turns through the sounds of violin\, accordion\, guitar\, and mandolin over the course of its 74-minute run time.\nThis event is sponsored in part by the Marion Cultural Council\, a local chapter of the Mass Cultural Council\, a state agency.
